Breakfast at Thistledown Inn

Bringing locally grown food to the table preserves Vermont's agricultural landscape while nourishing personal and planetary health.

Coffee and Vermont Liberty Teas are ready by 7:00 am. Sweet and savory hot wholesome breakfasts are served between 8:00 - 9:00 am unless other arrangements are made with the innkeeper.  Breakfasts can be easily adapted to accommodate dairy and gluten sensitivities- just let us know in advance.  

Before your main meal, enjoy a fresh berry parfait or poached pear on Cabot vanilla bean yogurt drizzled with maple-ginger-tumeric-pepper glaze with your muffin.  This is followed by one of the following  breakfast casseroles with local sausage or bacon on the side.

Sweet: The blueberry delight is made from organic farm-fresh eggs from Slice of Earth Farm, Vermont milk, whipped sweetened cream cheese, fresh or frozen local blueberries, and Vermont maple syrup.

Savory: The Inn's signature breakfast is made from organic farm-fresh eggs from Slice of Earth Farm, Vermont milk, spinach, Cabot Cheese, La Panciata bread and spices.
